Frankie Gerraty

Frankie is a first year Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Pete Raimondi in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department. His research focuses on social-ecological systems, global change, and mechanisms of nutrient flow between marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Frankie's varied research experiences have brought him from mangrove forests to mountain streams to high alpine talus slopes, but he has been particularly inspired by several experiences working with Indigenous communities on biocultural restoration projects (in Hawai'i and Washington). He holds a BS in Biology and Environmental Studies from Whitman College.
