Rachel Pausch is a Ph.D. student in the Raimondi lab and is also pursuing a Designated Emphasis with the Coastal Science and Policy department. She currently is collaborating with the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve to explain variability in salt marsh cover at the newly restored Hester Marsh. Additionally, she is working with a state agency to quantify success and other characteristics of compensatory mitigation projects across coastal habitats. Before beginning graduate school, Rachel was a technician for NOAA's Benthic Ecosystem Assessment and Research unit in Miami, Florida.
